1. Will I be able to taste food at the competition?
Yes, you’ll be able to taste the dishes prepared by contestants. However, due to limited portion, you’ll not be able to sample all of them. In addition, you’ll be able to sample food featuring traditional Chinese cuisines prepared by local chefs.

2. Will I be able to see the contestants cooking?
You’ll see contestants in action via a live TV feed from the competition kitchen.

3. What’s the difference between $280 and $180 banquet dinner?
Guests who have purchased $280 tickets are invited to a pre-dinner VIP cocktail reception from 6-7pm. They’ll also have preferred seating arrangement at the banquet.

4. Where is Peking Human Park restaurant?
The restaurant’s address is 100 Park Ave., New York, NY 10017. It is at the corner of Park Ave and 40th street. The entrance is on 40th Street.

5. Why I can’t find Peking Hunan Park restaurant on the internet?
It is also called Peking Park Restaurant (http:/www.pekinghunanpark.com).

6. Can I buy the tickets directly from the restaurant?
Limited tickets are available at the restaurant. You can also order on-line at https://ticket.ntdtv.com/culinary or call our reservation hotline 877-NTD-SHOW.

7. Do you offer any discount?
For students and seniors, we offer 10% discount. If you buy any two competition passes, we offer $10 off.

8. Is there any discount on the banquet?
No discount is given on individual banquet dinner tickets. If you book a table of 10, please call 877-NTD-SHOW directly to inquire group rates.

9. Why is the dinner ticket more expensive compared with prices charged by the restaurant?
NTDTV, a nonprofit organization, has put in a lot of effort and resources to host this competition. It has contributed tremendously to New York City in terms of promoting culture diversity and the arts. In addition to recognizing the award recipients, the award ceremony dinner is also a benefit dinner for NTDTV. The proceeds of the dinner will go to NTDTV for next year’s culinary competition.

10. Will I get a donation receipt?
You will get a donation receipt at the time of picking up your tickets. The $280 ticket is tax deductible for $150, and the $180 tickets are tax deductible for $80.

11. Who will be cooking for the award-ceremony banquet? Your winning contestants?
The chefs at Peking Hunan Park will be preparing the banquet under the guidance and supervision of our judges. However, you will have chance to see live-demo of some winning contestants at the banquet.

12. Will the banquet be a particular style of Chinese cuisine?
The banquet will feature all five styles of Chinese cuisines: Cantonese, Sichuan, Huaiyang, Shandong, and Northeast. It is an very unusual culinary experience.

13. For the banquet dinner, is it open seating?
Guests who are benefactors ($280 ticket holders) will have their seats pre-arranged. All other guests are subject to open seating.

14. What’s the dress code for the event?
For competition, it is business casual. For banquet, it is semi-formal.
